Antonio Guerra

Antonio Guerra (Zamora, 1983) is a visual artist based in Madrid. He holds a Master’s Degree in Photography and Project Management from Efti, Artes Visuales at the Miguel Hernández University and a Degree in Art and Design from the Salamanca School of Arts.

His work has been showcased in solo exhibitions at art centres such as DA2 in Salamanca, the Niemeyer Centre in Asturias, the Sala Amárica in Vitoria, the Centro Leonés de Arte and the PhotoEspaña Festival in Madrid, as well as in a number of national galleries.

His work has earned him grants from institutions such as the Miró Mallorca Foundation, the MUSAC in León, the Regional Government of Madrid, the Villalar Foundation, VEGAP and the Casa de Velázquez - Académie de France in Madrid.

He has been nominated for the Futures Amsterdam European programme and has taken part in festivals such as the Mediterranea Young Artists Biennales held in Ancona (Italy) and Thessaloniki (Greece), the Outono Fotográfico in Ourense and the Encontros Da Imagem in Braga.

Noteworthy among his collective exhibitions are those held at the BredaPhoto Festival in the Netherlands, the Círculo de Bellas Artes of Madrid, CA2M Móstoles, the Cervantes Institute in Madrid and the Embassy of Spain in Cuba.
