Paul Graham (1956, United Kingdom) is a self-taught photographer. Between 1981 and 1986, while living in London, Graham made three books of colour photography: A1 – The Great North Road (1983), Beyond Caring (1986) and Troubled Land (1987). Then he moved outside the UK and published New Europe (1988-1993), Empty Heaven (1989-1995), End of an Age (1996-1998), American Night (1998-2003). More recently Graham completed a shimmer of possibility (2004-2006) and The Present (2012). In 2009, he won the Deutsche Börse Photography Prize, and in 2012 he received the Hasselblad Foundation International Award in Photography.
