David Jiménez was born in Alcalá de Guadaira (Sevilla, Spain) in 1970. When he was 14 years old he moved to Madrid, where he still lives, although he has lived temporarily in Germany and Barcelona. He discovered photography when he was 17 years old and it became the center of his professional activity. Books occupy a prominent position in his production. Infinito —published in 2000— stands out among the five monographs he has released. His work has been shown in a number of places since 1993, trying different formats like projections or the internet as alternatives to exhibition rooms. He considers photography as a medium capable of reinventing reality and he means to find a visual poetry based in the mysterious connections that hide in everyday matters.
