In 2010, Florian van Roekel self-published How Terry Likes His Coffee and obtained great success. It was selected by many critics and fellow photographers as one of the best books of the year. Not only his photographic work was celebrated, but also the fact that he had achieved a high quality self-published book and reached many readers without traditional distribution channels. The launch of this and other remarkable self-published books in the same year contributed to the general recognition of the self-published photobook and the beginning of its recent boom. 

 

The first edition of How Terry Likes His Coffee, distributed directly by Van Roekel, was soon out of stock. Florian decided to make a second edition, the one we present here.
